George Rothwell has been appointed the new Wrexham FC boss on a one-year contract taking over the role of Kevin Wilkin after he was dismissed in March.

The board are delighted that Rothwell is the new manager and hope he could finally bring in success to the club.

Rothwell has announced that he is expecting at least a play-off place this season and fans are delighted that the manager is determined to get promoted.

Rothwell has been told that he HAS to recruit new players as the fan-owned club believe it will be one of the key parts for their 'successful' season.

George Rothwell has not wasted any time in recruiting new players as he has announced the signings of 2 new players.

First to join the club was 20 year old goalkeeper Ed Wlychinski, who has signed on a loan deal until the end of the season from Huddersfield.

Another new arrival is Jamie Devitt who has signed for a fee of 30k from League 2 club Morecambe. Devitt has been tipped as the big signing for Wrexham this season and will hopefully be a catalyst in midfield for the club.

Rothwell went further onto say that he hopes to make 2 more signings, and hinting that they might not all be players...
