I am starting the season with Wigan and I am using similar tactics to Barcelona (4-1-1-3-1). I have signed Shabablaba and Vrsaljko and have a remaining budget of £7m after selling Jordi Gomez.

I need a player that is similar to Xavi and Messi and are willing to come to Wigan. For Xavi I was looking at Thiago (loan), Badejl and Joe Allen. For Messi the only player I can think who is willing to come to Wigan is Kovacic. But he is quite young and I don't know whether he can play in the same position.

Need some advice on who to sign!

When you say Messi, I'm not sure what position you're referring to as he can play basically anywhere.

If you talking about a complete forward, look no forward than Carlos Fierro.

Messi:

Alex Teixeira, Ryad Boudebouz

Xavi:

Ruben Yttergard Jennsen, Alan Dzagoev

If you are searching for a new Messi, surrender... Messi is Messi and nobody is Messi

A Xavi is hard to find too, but I think Kevin(Zaragoza) is the most similar you can find

Emre can is a bit xavi --"
Messi you might think about Deleufeu (barcelona youngster)

Why not try putting in a cheeky bid for Xavi and Messi?

I mean, who could resist playing for Wigan?!

But how can he fit alternatives for Xavi and Messi in his team, if he has Xavi and Messi in his team?

It should just be impossible as the players that are similar to them is too small(body) for PL style play. They fit in better in La liga and Serie A as they play more technical there.

For others who want these player styles i would recommend Ninis in Phanatiakos who is i faster and younger version of Xavi, he also has great dribbling.

For Messi there isnt too many who can dribble, score, pass like him would be Ibra but hes out of Wigans world. Maybe somebody has find one but it should be very hard. There is no cheap version of messi.

Ruben Yttergård Jenssen is a great shout if he hasn't already been snapped up by a bigger club, I got him for £1.2m 1st season.

try Moritz Leitner or Ruben Yttergård Jenssen. and Jonathan Viera he is a cheap messi copy cat

xavi = sergio tejera (mallorca) & ander herrera (athletic)
messi = jano (spartak), buanonatte (malaga), aisatti (ajax) & fleck (rangers)

" aisatti (ajax) "

sorry i had to laugh about that.. how in **** can you compare him to messi ??

Xavi : try Ruben Yttegard Jenssen , Kasper Lorentzen
Messi : Jonathan Viera , Eyal Golasa , they are very good

I would try to get Willian on loan from Shakhtar if you can. $7m won't be enough to buy him, but maybe you can make a offer at the end of the season. The guy is a beast and probably the closest player to Messi I have found. Use him out on the wing as an inside forward and he's will dominate. On elite teams, he is a 30-30 guy in the seasons I have used him.

Xavi - Try and get Thiago in on loan from Barca?

Messi - Tom (of Litex), free signing

Come on peeps, where is the Marco Verrati love from Pescara, he is more like Pirlo but come on he becomes amazing. Raikan how could you not suggest him :P

never ever buy him!

I would look at Lucas Anderson - Aab :) potential to be a key player for Tottenham and is 16yrs old!
