Ok please don't aske me to post using the format as we all know the god that is Xavi.

My question is for anyone playing as Barca do his attributes drop like a ***** after the first season. I'm begining my third season and no one will buy him for 2.5 mil( yes 2.5 mil). He is just 32.

I used Ianc's training schedule training him as CM.
Then after 1.5 seasons I started using dunc's training sched's Adv. PM. Now his workrate is 10??

Is it a case where SI assumed Xavi will do Ronaldinho and rest on his laurels?

Xavi has never exactly been a Darren Fletcher or a Gattuso, tearing around the pitch has he? Work rate of ten is pretty accurate especially considering his age.

usually older players physical stats decrease alot as you mention, this is normal and with what Jake mentioned, is pretty obvious that it is Xavi, he does not work for the ball, he gets given it.

after the physical stats start to drop, his mental and technical stats will rise quite considerably, you would need to create a specific training schedule just for him to concentrate the training on his more "used" stats i.e. his mental and technical stats, forget about the physical stats, look at Scholes and Beckham :D

Players tend to lose a bit of fitness (acceleration/pace/stamina) as they grow older. the decline is inevitable. injuries to a player would also result in his stats dropping.

Also, xavi's wages are pretty scary tbh and i would not bid simply because he salary is not worth it even though you're willing to offer for $0. A work rate of 10 is fairly reasonable as well.

Of course, I know that players will lose their physical attributes as they age which is why I sell anyone approaching 30. But this is Xavi( one of my favorite players) and he was awesome at 30. I thought the same things that he doesn't really rely on these physical stats a lot but when the pace becomes 7-8 then its a bit difficult to play him.

The problem is that his mental and technical attributes also started declining the age of 31 which is pretty unusual. Maybe it was the training schedules but the decline was pretty bad for age of 32.

Take a look at the screnies

I would deffo blame the training.

Are you using my v1.1 or v1.2? At his age I would suggest using v1.2.

Well his workrate at the start is 17 which suprised me TBH.

1.1 it is. Didn't know you had put out 1.2. Will try them. Thanks for the effort.

xavi is Mr Barcelona - hes one of those players you should never sell regardless of how bad he is. It's like juventus selling del piero or liverpool selling steven gerrard. It's almost a sin to sell Xavi
