So, I'm playing as Spurs in the first season in 11.3. Absolutely cruising to the league, and it's only January, lol.

But anyway, in my last match against Villa Jermaine Defoe got injured and is ruled out for 2 months. Pavlyuchenko's out for 3 months too as well, leaving me with ****** Crouch.

So, seeing as it's the January transfer window, should I bring in a striker? I was thinking of Neymar, mainly 'cause I've had a ***** for him for ages. :$ But if there's any other suggestions or opinions, go ahead.
 
I think you should find a new striker in the window unless you want to suffer with Modric up front. :)
And if you think that Neymar's the one, you should get him. I can't really recommend any other strikers.
 
Llorente. ***** your whole budget on that lanky man.
 
Who is your first choice striker? What is your position?
You definitely need a new striker - possibly a younger one who is still capable of scoring goals so that he won't mind not playing all the time.

Poacher - Yaya Sanogo, Vedad Ibisevic, Alberto Paloschi, Giueseppe Rossi.
Target Man - Yaya Sanogo, Romelu Lukaku, Fernando Llorente.

I normally play 4-5-1 with Defoe as a poacher, and if he needs a rest or is injured, Pavyluchenko as a poacher.

Rossi sounds a good idea, mate.
 
Khouma babacar becomes absolutely exceptional in a few years, but can start scoring straight away.

Also i think Pato always becomes available on a free after his contract at milan has run its course so keep your eye out for that (if you're prepared to pay high wages of course)
 
Okay, so I out a bid in for Rossi, but they want 31m for him. Worth it?
 
Lavezzi! He scored 25 in 39 games in the league and 40 goals altogether in his first season for me at Tottenham,7 assists and nine MOM's.
Defoe seemed to miss a lot of Chances for me but Lavezzi scores most of his.
I got him for 21m
 
I wouldn't go for him at that price. There must be someone the same calibre of Rossi or there abouts for cheaper- But if you can't find anyone else cheaper, and your prepared to take a gamble, go for it. He'll probably score goals..

I went for him, but his signing on fee and agent fee demands were waaaaay too high.
 
Neymar as striker is not the best imo. I like him better as AMC playmaker
 
as you may only want cover for until the other strikers come back maybe spend little money or a quality striker who is likely to pick up price rapdily so can be sold on for a profit and scores goals for fun all the time for me ........ Christian Benitez, play as an advanced forward and watch the goals fly in, can be bought for as little as £1.5 M unless hes already be bought :)
 
Moussa Sow, you can get him for 7 million and he's a beast and a half.

Stay away from the usuals, be unique.
 
id go for cavani mate worth every penny ! but if your wanting younger/cheaper players go for Kadlec or maybe jelle vossen after all its only cover till the others come back.

Are you playing a lone man? Rossi is nowhere near as lethal by himself as he is with a partner in my experience anyway. Go for Cavani, he's an animal.
 
on my spurs save, i sold crouch. bought ibisevic and was good. scored 5 in a champions league final.
however he is very hit and miss. is sold hom the season after with a 10m profit and bought rooney :)
 
I went for Cardozo in the end. He's been brilliant in his first few games; 5 goals in 6 games! And that includes a brace in the League Cup final. (H)
