has anybody in fm2010 had a player who has come through the ranks from u18 to the first team and become WORLD CLASS not just decent because I have never seen it happen

Well its just random.
Of course it helps if you have top training facilities.
Personally I dont think I've ever had a world class playerr come through the ranks.
I always just snap them up from other teams early.

it depends on a lot of factors. World Class players are not exactly numerous.

I have one at the moment, he is a Regen who is worth 4.9m at the age of 16 and has scored about 35 goals in 25 games for my reserves and U18s.

Not world class yet but is going to be.

Bradden Inman,Folan And Vukic of newcastle all 3 top people

Obivously you need top class youth coaching staff, top class academies and top class training facilities. But truely world class players, even in real life I think there is only 15 maybe 20 tops that can be considered the creme de la creme.

Messi, A. Cole, David Villa, Forlan maybe C. Ronaldo but he is so poor for Portugal and in my books you cant be condisered world class until you perform to the highest standard on the world stage.

coaching staff doesn't matter outside of their reputation. Only thing other than reputation they are good for is 5 star training.

You need 4.5-5 star training, high team rep, high league rep, high personal rep, high rep of coaches, best youth facilities, be located in a large and beautiful city.

If you have the best of all of the above, you will get world class regens occasionally.

Just insist on making top youth facilities, and play those promising kids. Last one I had was in Parma Italian/Ghana. He was game generated at the beginning of second season (generation '94) and till 6th season he becomes my first striker but I guess that's just beacose I played him on regular occasions in first team.
Other option is to buy kids from other clubs

Didn't get him inducted into youth academy, but I bought him at 15 and brought him through my U19s. Does that count? :)

I've had quite a few wonderkids homegrown at my club as well, but mostly I bought them at around 18 and put them straight in my senior squad.

Nah I think he means they get inducted, not bought into the club from another club.

Best advice is be ruthless with the players coming into your academy, and poach liberally if you have the money to do so. It's much, much cheaper blowing a few million on a world class 16 year old and training him with top coaches, training and tutoring, than it is to buy the same player four years later for five times the price at a reduced level to what you could have trained him to.

A player has come through my ranks at Birmingham called MOntgomery I have no doubt he will be world class he is 18 now was on loan at rangers scored 5 in 5 I recalled him hr has played a few times and the England manager has came to a few matches to watch him along with plenty of big club managers

I had one. Unfortunately, I didn't give him enough first-team football, so now his progress is messed up and his development rate is almost non-existent.

I have this one right now.... He looks really promising but dunno if he become world class

He'll definatley come good mate, but I don't think World Class is the correct word.
