Youth coaching in SPL

Was wondering, during the first season at the SPL clubs i've looked at in the past. All the youth players are on full time contracts.

So my Q is, say during the second season onwards, when regens and youth players come through the ranks into the U19's etc... are they on youth deals & that or they automatically signed to fulltime deals?

they will be on youth deals, i dont know why they start out on full time contracts but after the 1st season all regens are on youth contracts
