This is the youngster, he came through my youth. Has 4 star potential which I suspect is like 160-180 somewhere. Which is more than enough, don't need them all to be 200 :P. First youth intake so it means a bit more I guess. His stats are all over the place though. I got RvP to tutor him but I didn't understand properly the options so only got him to help him out rather than improve his game. Which I saw online means only his determination increased but not his personality or preferred moves. So he went from 14 Det to 17.

Atm he is being trained between deep lying forward and finishing, but i'm half tempted to retrain him to a new position with that bravery, but I just don't know, it seems to me that whatever position I put him in, he's missing key stats. Is this a lost cause? I mean he's got a lot of potential and i'll be able to get the attributes I need him to have eventually I think, but it's hard to see what to do with him. Any ideas?

He is a 16 year old & with that potential it would be wise to keep him still he is at least 20 before you let go of him. Give him time to develop & see just how far he can go. FM14 regens are bad all round from what i have seen so far so player development is key & you need to be more patient. For a striker those are just poor stats. Try training him on a wider position to get the most of his physical attributes

Hard to say what to do with him he has poor stats for a striker. Maybe tutor him again and have his training set to high on a certain position so it will improve a lot of his stats instead of just a couple. Post your results of what you did and how he turned out it'd be interesting to see

Train him on Finishing, First touch and Composure, he can be an exceptional Poacher ;)

Weird, I've thought FM14 regens have been better than in previous years. Plenty of players cropping up at lower clubs with high potentials.
