has anyone else completely got rid of all older players and brought in all youngsters?
I am doing this with Chelsea and brought in platers all under 23 and got rid of all older players with the exceptions of John Terry and Frank Lampard who refused to leave so i used them as my 2 exceptions. This is my team:

GK Asmir Begovic
DL Patrick Van Aanholt
DR Neal Eardley
DC Ryan Shawcross
DC John Terry
MC Frank Lampard
MC Toni Kroos
MC Yohan Cabeye
FC Loic Remy
FC Solamon Kalou
FC Edin Dzeko

2-4 seasons into a game I always have the youngest squad in the league.
That don`t mean I get rid of players just because they`re old though.
Loyal players that have been with me for years are usually kept until they retire, specially if they come up through the ranks.
It`s just that one of my favorite parts of the game is developing players from 15-18 years of age, and see how they turn out.

I have contemplated starting a game where I can only buy u18 players though.

I try and get rid of players once they reach 30. If I can't find a replacement, then I'll keep them. My oldest player is 32, but everyone else is 27 or under. Quite difficult to find quality replacements because i'm trying to keep my team as English as possible.

coool i just did it as a bit of a challenge. Ive also signed lots of players around the age of 15 and 16 for the youth and reserve team that i hope to bring through and eventually have a top team

I think it's a good idea if you're playing at the top sides. Makes it slightly more difficult.

It's a good idea. I have done it in the past, but I tend to do 2 bad things - 1. Get too many young prospects so i can't develop them all properly and i start shipping out players before they reach their peak, just so i can develop the next generation. 2. I grow attached to some players who have had 3-4 incredible seasons and i play them until their legs go.

still need a couple old heads for experience tho ;)
