I've just started a season at Barcelona and have found that all of my players inclduing the whole u19 squad are in the senior training set up.

This means that I have 4 youth coaches kicking their heels and all of the others are overly busy.

The only player I have managed to get into the Youth training is a player I signed on a part time contract.

I've tried selecting the training schedules from the drop down for the player but the youth ones are greyed out.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

sack some of ur youth coaches. and they aint realy cliking there heels or anoyed it a game

I suppose I could do but I don't understand why I can't get players on the youth schedule. I've not managed outside of England before so I'm not sure if it is done differently.

My youth players don't seem upset with their heavy work loads which are heavier than the ones you can set up in the youth team but I suppose I don't want to over work them too much.

If i've got coaches that are very good at working with youngsters it makes sense for them to concentrate on working with them rather than spreading their work across everyone and having them as a regular coach.

i'm the same at rangers, had 6 youth coaches when i joined training 0 players! have git rid of 4, maybe keep 2 cheap ones in case players appear in the schedule when i'm not looking!

Youth Player Training

You need to make sure all you under 19 players are on YOUTH contracts to get the players to do youth training schedules

At a certain age youth players sign a professional contract and thus become senior players, though they can still play youth football. It differs in each country, I believe in england they sign a contract at 17, some countries it's 18. Besides, it's better having them on a senior training schedule as they can cope with higher workloads.

My advice: offer all those youth coaches a contract as just a coach, and sack them if they refuse. Coaches can train both senior & youth players, so there's really no need for a youth/1st team coach imo.
