How do you setup Zonal Marking on FM? From corners the only option that looks like it would be zonal marking is "mark the six yard box" and you can only have 1 player doing that..

I also would like to know how to set up zonal marking. Not only that, I also would like to know how to instruct my team to lose time more frequently and how to define the supply to my target man. I play wide, exploring the flanks, instructing my players to cross often. But depending on who my foward is and how good his heading is I might want normal crosses or ground crosses. How can I instruct my wingers to make ground crosses? I swear this is the worst FM I ever played and I'm playing this game since fm 07. Not only the match engine sucks but they over simplified the game. Instead of giving us more options to put our team according to our ideas, they took already existing options in previous FM's. It seems that the persons responsible for making FM 14 don't understand jack squat of football. SI seems more eager to try to please to gamers that play FM but aren't really fans of football or don't understand it. First was the new Classic Mode (i really doubt that people who really want to play FM would ever abdicate of the tactics and trainning aspects of the game) and now the oversimplified tactics. Simply this game sucks. sorry for my bad english

You can set crosses from player instructions for the wingers:

And you set either drilled crosses or floated crosses from team instructions.

Also FM13's zonal marking didn't make much sense to me. As you could set zonal marking, but you still couldn't give them zonal marking instructions in the set piece creator. Meaning you had it set to zonal but telling players to man mark.

Thanks for the reply. I'm playing fm 2014. I'm well aware of the instructions and what they mean. But that doesn't solve my problem. For example I would want my winger to cross from the line but instead of making a normal cross would make a ground cross to the foot of my foward. And that options doesn't seem to exist. The game just seems to assume that the cross is to the head of the foward and nothing else. I might be wrong but I think drilled crosses is different than ground crosses. Drilled crosses are more tense crosses to the near post but also to the head of the foward. And I want crosses to the foot. Before, you could set up that in previous FM's. Now you can't. Also losing time when your opponent is a bigger team. Where do you set up that in this fm? Because I can't find that option. When I'm talking about zonal marking I'm reffering to when the opposite team has possession of the ball. In the set pieces defense I've always assumed that with a "go back" instruction the player would defend his zone, therefore zonal marking. I like a mixed approach in set pieces defense. Man marking the bigger threats (central defenders and big fowards with good heading) and zone marking with my other players ("go back" instruction). Hope I made my self clear, because my english isn't very good
