21 year old left back, Nathan Woodthorpe is coming back on loan to Chester for next season too.

Chester have made it to the playoffs of the Vanarama National League North. Super happy with this, it is a good step forward after a difficult spell at Besiktas and the job at Al Urooba where I discovered that making changes at grassroots level in UAE football is difficult. My first period of reasonable success post Wigan. The time with the UAE national team has been alright at best. But this playoff position with Chester is a start to a long way back up.

Heartbreak as we lose 3-2 to King's Lynn in the playoff semi final. 2nd playoff defeat in my managerial career after losing the playoff semi final with Wigan in League One.

Are you kidding me? LOOK AT ALL THAT MONEY. 163K pounds is our transfer budget. For a Vanarama National League North team. Chester. What a job in world football I have landed. Honestly, I will just do my best to compete in the league for a top level performance. If we get promoted, great. If we don't, and we have a good budget and I stay then we will build even more. I am seriously impressed by the ambition and the money the board is willing to invest. This is more money than I ever got at Wigan to compete at LEAGUE ONE level.

21 year old attacking midfielder Stan Flaherty will go to Fylde in the Vanarama National League for 4.8k pounds. Fylde is one tier above us.
