Maybe your problem is inconsistency, just start over and pick a team with high capabilties yet low expectations, e.g. Braintree Town in BSS. Stop mashing around different tactics every game, your players aren't exactly the most tactical players and are prob part time!

Much more chance they'll get injured when you throw them into fast-paced league games without any match practice.

Same thing happened to me, as Braintree Town. Stayed in BSS until my third year when I got promotion, I was 200k in the red in BSS but now, halfway through my BSP season I'm somehow 2nd, drawing WBA in the FA Cup, albeit at home but still was a nice 55k gate reciepts, and my debt is only about...

I'm Braintree too, in third season in BSP, only have English leagues active and enjoying the challenge. Got Fabian Batchelor on a free and he's a machine! 15 goals in 15 games so far this season, sitting 8th in BSP.

Go for Braintree, I managed to win the BSS in my second season despite being tipped for relegation!

Is this a serious thread..? You sound like a Ronaldo fan boy. Do you expect every player in the world from now on to be under the standard of Ronaldo?

As lower league teams I play 4-4-2 with a deep foward. It completely depends on your team though and how you utilise your tactics do your players skills. 5th is not bad at all, every team has a bad run of results but when you get one or two wins under your belt you'll be off like a rocket...

Nice work, a good buy for a league one team. I hope your not expecting him to get capped though? This is the Italian national team, why would they chose a league one striker? :)

check out fabian batchelor, plays for Col U, he was released at the end of 08-09 season and I've signed him as Braintree and he's my leading scorer, nice pace and good finishing for a BSS player! If you haven't already tried, try to get a parent club and loan some players that your scout thinks...

None of these players are in my game - are they gens? Or what nations do you need active? (I am Braintree in BSS)

What do I do if my team has an ever increasing negative balance? Its disconcerting especially as I'm 10% under my wage budget, and haven't spent any transfers (I'm Braintree Town by the way) Also what are the reprocussions of this? i.e. what happens? Just hope I don't do a Leeds!

Thank you, frustrating yes, especially with my top scorer and probably best player getting a month long injury at the beginning of the season, and struggling to return to form!
