I think this tactic has to be my favourite tactic on this version of FM17. Only tactic I get close to an unbeaten season in the prem with a big team!

While I admit that I must have a striker on the pitch, I actually prefer Knap's Journeyman 4-3-2-1 to all of those tactics you mentioned. I would use his tactic at home and then perhaps Demolisher away. TFF's 1 striker formation gets amazing away results but is bettered at home!

Hey, as I have just posted this tactic in this forum (http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/share-download-fm-17-tactics/362253-4-4-2-shield.html), I would be interested to see what you find. I am currently trying to make tweaks to improve but with little success.

Thank you for the feedback. I agree with counter attacks, they can be deadly. I think this is why the likes of Leicester/Tottenham are my least favourite games to play. I tried to balance the DM, he sits deep in defense yet contributes in attack (so many other defensive tactics I use don't score...

OP UPDATE: Have updated the thread with spoilers to try and clean it up a bit. Have added individual training for each position Please let me know if I can improve this further in anyway.

I am very interested to see how other people get on with it (I have only had success). Could be I chose a team that suited it but it certainly works wonders for me. Let me know how you get on! Hopefully I can start to tweak it to make it better if there is discussion about faults etc.

I agree with that, I am going to run the same season with the old warlord tactic and see the differences. Sacked by January is a joke. Might work for the better teams but west ham for sure can't use vortex v2 or v3 (unless I am missing something). Also noticed I have at least one game a season...
