Old thread, but in FM12 in my Man Utd save, I witnessed Blackpool finishing only 11th in the Championship, but winning the FA Cup 3-2 over Blackburn in extra time, therefore qualifying for the Champions League.

somehow, I've yet to experience this with any Man Utd player.

I've noticed in my save with Man Utd, while looking at the tables for other leagues, both AC Milan AND Inter are doing poorly in Serie A. It's the end of this season so neither will relegate this time, but both could possibly do it next season.

I don't bother with it, and I've actually done better this way. When I did do it, I'd consistently get blown out by sides I should've had no problem against.

I can't seem to beat West Brom. As Manchester United. I drew against them 2-2 at home, they knocked me out of the FA Cup, and then beat me again after that :/

just now getting into FM13, am Manchester United as usual, started off unbeaten in the Prem, Rooney out 3 weeks, lost to Villa 3-1, Rooney comes back and plays in a single game as a late sub, and then gets re-injured in training, out another 4-5 weeks :| Ugh.
