I agree with the OP. SI has done a good job recognising the importance of morale in the squad but i think they went a bit overboard. Maybe if the tweaked it slightly so it wasnt so black and white it would be fine.

What likely has happened is that they had either a promotion pay rise and you were promoted or they had a yearly pay rise %. Either one is not a bug.

You dont need scouts to look for stars in Brazil for example, just have a look through the bigger teams U20 squads. Also forgot to mention a trick to keep wages low, which is to set bonuses and clauses up (best one is minimum release fee, set it to 150m+)
