Yes, I have a friend who managed to extend his contract.
He tried many things, but in the end my friend appointed the director of football to negotiate the contract, and that worked.
It changes a bit, but my preferred front 3 is Hazard (left), Morata and then Batshuayi on the right.
But Pedro can play left and Willian is also quite good at the right.
I am now at Dec 31, played 21 games with this tactic - won 19 and drawn 2.

Nice tactic - works well with Chelsea and Morata as centre striker. For some games I have reduced the tempo from much high to high to improve results.
Since changing to the tactic - Morata has scored a hatrick 4 times (16 goals for Morata in total) over the last 11 games.

Nothing last forever - charity shield aginst Arsenal proved to be too tough a test. Used the 4-3-3 for the first half, and was behind 0-4 at the interval. Counter attacks killed me. Switched to 3-4-3 in the 2nd half and the game ended 3-4 to Arsenal...

Just won 13-0 with Chelsea. A training match against a very poor team, so the end result was never in danger - but I must say I was amazed - played the first 60 minuttes with 4-3-3 and then switched to the more "defensive" 3-4-3.

It is tricky - I tend to look at their determination and work rate. A determination above 15 and a high work rate seems to be highly correlated with potential ability. Moreover, I look at the core stats for the position they play in - marking, tackling, speed. I find that mental attributes grow...

I had the same problem. Check your set pieces settings. If you have a player offering to come short, that will overwrite your settings you place on your kicker / thrower. Remove the player setting to come short, then it should Work.
Did you do anything specific - like set their asking price to 15 mio. or something similar.
Are there any tips or tricks to achieving a higher price that the value of the player?
