Ok it got fixed. I moved players around to u-21 and back and checked that they have the 'tick' in the right place.

What does it mean "full control of the team to your u-18 coach"? It is already his. They are "available" for u-18. They are not lined up primarily for u-21

What's funny, the same players play no problem for U-21 squad.

One thing I understood. Nobody from my MU U-18 squad is ever participating in U-18 matches. But those in U-21 squad who are young enough do participate.
