So my third season went much like my second. We were playing good football but we'd end up drawing when we were winning and losing when we were drawing. I'd oscillate from not being able to score to not be able to keep a clean sheet and vice versa. To be honest with you, I was about 3/4 of the...
For some reason I wasn't able to reply with my lengthy response as it either had banned words or URLs in it, though it had neither.
I can't be arsed to write it again so here's the main points:
You're welcome Jonathan.
I found a work around for the red cards. When players get a yellow (or a...
I used to help out with the Goals Galore tactic every year but I haven't been on this forum that much since. I'm properly back in to FM again and this is the third tactic I tried and had unprecedented success initially. My first season as MK Dons, signing only a couple of pretty average free...
Best regen player I've had since I started playing Championship Manager. My striker got sent off in the Champion's League final and due to injuries, this lad made my bench. He scored the winning goal in extra time. He is a boss.
Absolute nightmare, although I understand that's quite realistic. Though I like him in real life.
The week I arrived he had a private chat with me and told me I was going to bring the club down with my inexperience, I was polite back and he tells me he doesn't believe me, I'm polite back and he...
Seriously. They must be.
No matter what I do. No matter how light I make training, or how quickly I substitute somebody when they drop below about 65%, I am permenantly PLAGUED with injuries.
I'm doing a ****** good job there despite this and that Andy Carroll is a ******. However, it's...
On mine I didn't bother with him, he went to Wolves on loan for a season, played **** and I bought him in the summer for £1m. He is currently sitting in the reserves learning to play with the big boys. It's like having a secret weapon stashed away.
Man Marking tips? You've lost me? Switch to man marking from zonal? I considered that you know. A lot of goals I conceeded, especially early on were from set pieces, corners being the main culprit.
I know, I was gutted with the AC Milan game. I had injuries and suspensions that game which left...
Ok, season is finished and as promised, my feedback:
Tactic works really nicely but takes a while to get going. Drilled crossing certainly worked better for me than floated and after I changed from Attacking to Standard I saw a big improvement on results and performance. The tactic requires...
I am actually scoring a considerable amount more since switching to Standard, though I'm not 100% clear as to why just yet! I have a fairly weak back line at the moment through injuries and players who have not yet come out of their shell, so I'm conceeding 1 most games. However, I'm pretty...
I know I mentioned this before, but I'd like to change it slightly. Starting Strategy changed from Attacking to Standard both home and away is working really well for me in addition to drilled low crosses.
Also I'm finding that the team has to warm to you and the tactics a lot more than FM10...
I'm really struggling to score using this tactic as Spurs. I'm playing around with it as much as I can but it doesn't seem to be sticking like FM10
Edit to add:
For anyone having trouble in away games, change Start Strategy from Attacking to Standard. Has worked for me 3 games in a row now.
