On the last patch I was getting ridiculous number of injuries (usually 2-4) per week, which was even higher before I sold Diaby (played 6 games and got injured 11 times in first season), but now the injury toll seems more realistic, but free-kicks and long range shooting for me definitely remind...

Under a player's profile click "Squad" and then deselect "available for reserves", if that doesn't work then maybe it's because of match fitness and you might need to deselect "available for reserves until match fit" or whatever it is called exactly.

Mistake on retailer's part apparently, but they've sent me the code, so now it's time to start playing :)

Where specifically do you recommend going to on the forums with my issue? @Steff: It was from an online store that's been around for years called Mighty Ape, that operates here in Oz and in NZ.

I've emailed them and by proof of purchase you mean receipts/order number and packaging, etc.?

I've looked through every page of the manual and all over box but no sign of any code. I'll look through it again though, because normally when I exclaim that I can't find something, I immediately find it. Nup, still can't find one.

Hi, I just bought the game (disc-version) and when I try to install it I'm prompted for an activation code by steam, only problem is I can't seem to find it. I'm presuming that it should be on the back of the game manual where it says "Football Manager 2013 Steam Code", except there is nothing...

Maybe it's just because the team isn't used to the tactics that you're employing, give them a few matches and they should work it all out (hopefully). They might have reacted badly, because they thought that you were being unfair in criticising them when they were playing an unfamiliar...

If your team talks aren't getting through to them, maybe let the assistant manager take team talks. Or alternatively, try looking at the personality of your players and collectively as a team, in order to try and work out which kind of team talk is most effective.

Hasn't he been ill? I think he's only just returning to training now (or only just has) in real life, so that's probably why he's unavailable at the start of the game.
