The problem is I dont want to keep checking - a notifier or message would be so much simpler. Adding to shortlist means that I am notified when another club make an offer for the player, but not when his own club offer him a new contract.

I am looking at some players whose contract expires sometime soon. Rather than sign them now and pay compensation, I would prefer to wait until they are free agents. However in the meantime, they may be offered a new contract by their club which they may accept, meaning I would have to buy the...
