Player Contract Notifications

I am looking at some players whose contract expires sometime soon. Rather than sign them now and pay compensation, I would prefer to wait until they are free agents.
However in the meantime, they may be offered a new contract by their club which they may accept, meaning I would have to buy the player for a lot of money.
Is there a way to be notified, such as through the inbox, of when a player has been offered a contract by their club?

subscribe to the player and then keep checking

Doesn't adding to your shortlist do this?

The problem is I dont want to keep checking - a notifier or message would be so much simpler. Adding to shortlist means that I am notified when another club make an offer for the player, but not when his own club offer him a new contract.

Putting him on your shortlist will tell you if hes signed a new contract or just don't be lazy and keep checking. If he is happy at the club its likely that he is going to sign a new contract with them so try and unsettle them by declaring interest and saying he is a quality player to let him know your interested.

Go onto his profile and add a note. And then set a reminder on the day their contract runs out
