when i go to disciplie my players it wont allow me to do anything how can i fix that?

i have 2010 and when i go to discipline my players it wont allow me. does anyone know how to fix that

hi im new to the football manager scene and love Arsenal to bits, but my tactics dont seem to get the best out of my players and they end up compliaing about my managerial skills. does anyone have any good advice on what i should do or say with the team?
