Agreed. Many times I've had to dip into the u18's squad because I haven't had enough first team players to make up a full bench. And it seems to be that it's the defenders that are more prone to injuries, don't know if anyone else has found the same thing?
I've just been playing a save with Nottingham Forest which was pretty fun to do. Decent, fairly young squad with a good transfer budget and good facilities. Predicted to finish 11th, I got them up through the play offs so there's definitely potential.
Another one I fancy doing soon is Brighton...
That's the point I was making mate. I was meaning that at bigger clubs it's still hard to motivate players even if you are on the top experience level.
Maybe it's because of an update then. I've only just started a new save with United and Nem's clause is 17.5m so I can't see it being a change of contract so early on in the season.

Depends which team you play with though. If you start as International Footballer with a smaller club then the response in team talks will be amazing because the players respect you a lot more. But if you're managing a bigger club (United/City etc) then you're basically just another well known...
Maybe sign strikers with higher levels of finishing? Or put your existing strikers on individual training to improve this aspect of their game, maybe composure as well. Depends what team you're playing with and what kind of quality you have up front I guess.
I had a great save with Southampton a while ago (before I got burgled and they nicked my disk). Finished 8th in my first season and won the League Cup and was about 6th in the table when I lost it.
From what I remember my advice would be to give Luke Shaw and James Ward-Prowse as much game time...
