I am playing as MUFC and have a 4 man midfield, well it depends how you see it, my wide men are a inside forward and a winger, but they seem to be playing well. its my central duo that i just cant decide how i want to play.
Yes, a central duo do get over run, they get outnumbered so many times...
In my opinion, i feel my team is balanced now. Its not perfect. but it seems to be balanced. Some people, such as Guzan, Richards, Delph and Grealish are thriving in this system and game after game putting it performances that are above and beyond expectation. They do give each other passing...
I swapped Control for the standard option, and I've won the couple of games I used it on, I guess the real test will be when I start struggling for form, that's when I'll see how balanced my team is? And how effective it is
I have, nothing seems to want to work, I'll restart the whole system later and hopefully it will start working, it's odd that nothing seems to be working, frustrating actually :(
The change in formation massively helped. my team became more balanced and the cohesion between the whole squad was visible in each game. i Thought the 4-2-4 was more of a 4-2-2-4 but i know for the future that if i "want" to play that way, ill need some top quality players to make it work...
I hope my latest post I just submitted (after taking 2 hours to write when I just wanted to post a quick message!), answers a few of your queries and I hope that I have you convinced that I know what I am doing?! Would still love to hear your opinions though and if any advice, it would be more...
Just a quick update as I haven't posted all day. (Currently on iPhone)
I started, after reading the PDF, with what the game called a 4-2-4Wide.. I Hadith the players roles and duties in my previous post, I decided on the role for my wide attacking pair as wingers on support, this -allowed the...
Choosing the final 2 ...
Attack
So in the PDF there is 3 different Pairs/Combo's to use. You have..
Big-Man - Little-Man
Creator - Scorer
False-Nine - False-Ten
Big-Man - Little-Man
Over the years managers have been getting great success from a the Big-Man - Little-Man Partnership. Having...
Choosing the Centre Midfield...
Centre Midfield
So the main question is how many do i have in central midfield?
a pair gives me the option for 2 men upfront, but a trio allows me to take control of the game, outnumber most midfields and pass the ball around them, either working the ball into...
Deciding On the Wide Men
Wide Men
So deciding on wide men is crucial to how the team will set up, deciding on wether i want to play FB's give me the option to play wingers or Wide Midfielders.
Ill go through the decision as they appear in the PDF and then ill explain the decision I've come...
I think I've come across the wrong way, as i didn't every want to have things done for me. id say go back to my original post, i did, and thats what i wanted. i wanted to learn how to create working effective tactics that i know WHY it works and How its working so if i need to change things id...
Defence
So I've decided I'm going to play with a central pairing. Choosing the combination that I'm choosing, i feel this will be the most secure and safest way to protect my goalkeeper and help keep as many clean sheets as possible.
So there is Central, Limited and Ball Playing Defenders...
Not to spoonfeed me, no! i originally meant it as someone may advise me to use 2 strikers in a certain way to get goals, someone may suggest to play 3 CBs and WB's to be the most effective way to stop conceding goals, the plan was to hopefully be able to pull successful parts of others tactics...
Setting up tactics, GOALKEEPERS ... Notes for others...
So what I'm doing is adding notes I've taken from the pdf 'Pairs and Combinations' from above.
The notes will be about selecting the roles and their duties, of the positions in the tactics I'm going to use. These can change over time if...
So I'm reading the Pairs and Combinations pdf, its 40 pages!! i know i want to really learn with the tactics but i didn't really fancy sitting here having to read all the info, then try to implement what I've just read, when there is so much info. i don't know if its really worth that..
What i...
