This is the opposite of a rant but I didn't see a thread for feats
Crazy 1999 moment. Put all my players but one defender up in the 88th minute. This win was huge because it completes the septuple, lets me overtake Ancelotti in the hall of fame, gives me enough to finally become an Arsenal...
I assembled a 3 man defence worth 150m for the CL final against Monaco and they scored in 19 seconds. Just walked past them.
If my team hadn't managed to comeback and win I would've been joining your rant.
I holiday'ed for that one match and as things would have it one of my top players performed so well that his asswipe agent demanded a 350k/w contract with a freaking 7m fee just for himself. Being on holiday I was unable to talk the player out of it and now he's unhappy. What the actual ****.
If you've won and the game freezes, I believe it's totally legit for you to reload and win that particular game. That's my "code"...though same goes for draws and losses.
I sold Ozil when he turned 32 to Barca, cautious of his declining physical stats and massive wages. Big mistake. He's still in the form of his life 2 seasons in. I know a player in his mould wouldn't have much of a need for physicality, but I just prefer having industrious muscle cars to bully...
I kept him in eventually, wages at 200k and sign on fee of 3 mil. He's still ******** about a move back to Barca all the time though.
He's out for 8 months at the start of my current season and I've bought Clyne who surprisingly seems to be doing a better job than he used to.
Well speaking for myself, pure strikers seem difficult to groom and develop. I've already given up and sold Origi and Iheanacho. Wide players however seem to grow easier. Gabriel Jesus has transformed nicely into a world class player after arriving for 14mil, capable of playing on the flanks and...
In the last year of his contract and wants to more than double his wages from £105k to £235k, with £10mil sign on fees in total. Being the cheapskate that I am with Man United hovering around with a possible £60-£70mil bid, should I sell him?
I rage when i win penalties. Because the odds of them missing is at least 80%, and the player's morale is destroyed for the rest of the game. Balotelli missed all his 3 penalties for the duration I had him.
I'm curious as well. The top clubs are wasting a lot of young players with potential and I wonder if their abilities have been impeded for good. My Origi is 25 with decent stats, but he's missed so many sitters I don't think he'd ever become world class.
I actually find solace in seeing him do so well in the game. I started with Ajax and won the CL with him and Sierhuis being key players despite their age in the 2nd season. He's worth 21.5m now...I might throw in a bid for my Arsenal squad.
However seeing Tiote in the game kinda creeps me out. RIP.
I was having considerable success with wide player tactics. Managed to get Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus on the cheap, and still have Sanchez, Ox and Iwobi in my Arsenal squad. Now starting my fifth season in the game and all my wide player tactics are being thrashed. Forced to use effective but...
