The tactic explained
The system is made to be a high pressure system, looking to regain possession in all areas of the pitch, while retaining possession with fast short passes, when in possession.
Most important skills for each role
Center backs and half back: Need to be very solid defensively, ball playing is secondary.
Regista: Needs to be a very accomplished passer, with good technique and preferably good speed.
Wing-backs: need to be fast, solid on the ball and good at crossing. Defensive attributes are secondary, but important.
CM: needs to be accomplished in all aspects of the game. Good at shooting and passing, with good physique and work rate. Defensive and aerial attributes are important, but secondary.
Pressing forwards: Speed, shooting, work rate, teamwork, along with everything else that makes a good pressing forward. Preferably decent in the air and accomplished passer.
Advanced forward: A great athlete! Speed, aerial ability and shooting are the main skills needed.
Player traits to look for
Wing-backs: Get Further Forward
Regista: Tries Long Range Passes, Tries Killer Balls Often
Half Back: Stays Back At All Times
Plays One-Twos is a good trait for most players.
Results
The results speak for themselves. Won every game in the domestic league, while also winning the Champions League (with an inferior team) in the first season using this tactic. The team also broke the record for most goals scored in the Champions League with 40 (entered in the group stage).
