idk, people tell me LGFIRE cant achieve it, honestly there is no way u can replicate Barca Tactics authentiacally in FM11 unless we get more options
it'll never be perfect but he has certainly got closer than any ive seen so far, theres a couple on SI im yet to try

Anchor Man
Mentality really low
Run from deep rarely
Roam from position yes
??????

I think this would work though haven't tried it.

I'll try it in my next game

Well I tried these instructions and its like the ME cant accept the dmc dropping back

I've tried a few things to achieve that but never got it to work. Until I tried it the other way round: I'm now fielding three DCs (no DM), set the middle DC as Ball player and stopper, increase his mentality and closing down. Like this he steps out the line to press the opponent much earlier as the other two DCs when not in possession but plays more or less on the line with them when in possession, thus behaving more or less like you'd expect from a modern centre half.
However I have to re-test this approach on 11.2 now

I'd also be interested in this, along with the 'other modern day cb' (Lucio, David Luiz spring to mind), the kind that keeps going up on the field creating chances, taking shots or killer passes. Guess it would fix perfectly, as one drops down and the other attacks.

Is that what barcelona are doing here?

Yes Donkarlito, you could set the DM's mentality to really low, lower than the cbs. Set him to "try through balls" "roam from position" and "don't run with the ball"

Play him as a Libero on Support?

It seems virtually impossible.

Its the only way to do it but he won't be a "modern centre half" he will be a libero and theres only handfull of good sweepers and you could possible train a player like Busquets to play that position

tried the mentality to really low im think about putting the cbs mentality slight higher to encourgage them to move forward more

Yeah try that, and keep the dm's lower.
This will make the dm drop back, to let the cbs go further up ( i think )

Not quite. Busquets isn't a DC IRL, though depicted as such here. He's dropping back when in possession, not stepping out when not. So when set as DC he might not step out as much as he sometimes does irl. But imo it is easier to cope with this and it can be achieved with the ME whereas to me it wasn't possible to have a DM falling back. It's a workaround that in the game it looks like you were playing a modern centre half. But if you wanna be picky, you could say fielding three DCs is not the same
