One new challenge. A whole new journey

Rich Robinson has confirmed his interest in seven county clubs as he looks towards the next chapter of his managerial career.
After building experience within grassroots and local football, the manager is now ready to test himself in a new environment and believes the time is right to take on a fresh challenge, with applications now submitted, attention will turn to which clubs could make the next move.

He has identified seven clubs that particularly interest him:

• Telford Town FC
• Allscott Heath FC
• Haughmond FC
• AFC Bridgnorth
• Market Drayton Town FC
• Wolverhampton Casuals FC
• Wolverhampton Sporting C.F.C.

Each club offers a different opportunity, but all represent the type of challenge the manager believes could provide the platform for his next step.

He has said to be not just simply looking for a job, finding the right club and the right project. The manager is understood to be keen on an opportunity where he can have an influence on the footballing direction of the club, develop players and build something that supporters can be proud of.

After plenty of talks with the clubs with all seven teams he applied for, Robinson has made his decision and has taken the reigns at Haughmond.

Haughmond finished third in the Shropshire County League Premier Division last season and were promoted to the North West Counties Division One South League.

With there manager leaving the club this Summer, the club needed to move to bring someone in.

Robinson has said to be delighted to be named the new manager and can not wait to get started, he also went on to say that the club has a good future and he wants to be a part of that.

The Pre-season for Haughmond have been confirmed and the Boss Rich Robinson is keen to get players in to help build his squad for the upcoming season. This has made him delve into the region to bring players in on trial to take a further look at them. We will expect plenty of players to come through here at the club and a lot of different squads to play the friendlies.​

After a brief trial Rich Robinson has identified an d brought in no less than five players already to his squad with Defenders James Woodhouse and Nathaneal Hewitt, Midfielder Robbie Bromley and strikers Dan Westwood and George Taylor.

James Woodhouse coming in from Athersley Recreation after being released and has been the first one to have travelled the most. The 21 year is delighted with the move and cant wait to get started.

Nat Hewitt has come in on loan from Gornal Athlethic from the Dudley area for the season to gain first team experience.

Local lad and engine in midfield Robbie Bromley joins the club to help the squad, Robbie started his career at Man Utd despite being from around the area comes back to his hometown.

Experience is needed and that is what we get from Dan Westwood. The forward has been area the surrounding leagues and teams for a while having notched up 166 appearances and scoring 65 goals could be a useful addition.

George Taylor is the final one to Join up Robinson and the boss is delighted to bring George the club. George knows the club and what it means to the fans. George is a great talent and wants to bring glory to Haughmond.

The club is delighted to have tied down the transfer to bring Joe Williams, a 24 year old goalkeeper in from Market Drayton. Joe makes the short switch over and hopes to build his confidence to get the games needed. Their is speculation though that the club are set to announce another goalkeeper who will bring valuable experience to the squad and give Joe a run for his money.

The Rumours are true and Rich Robinson wants a few older players in the club to help the younger players mentality and help develop them overall. This is why he has brought in a very experienced in Adam Jenkins to bolster the depth in squad and maybe help stabilise the dressing room with his old head and when the club may need it. This is been welcome by a few fans while many believe he is too old to be playing in this league.​

The Club have come out and announced their captains for the season. Robbie becomes the first captain under the new boos while Ethan will be the vice Captain. Both players have shown great attitude and authority during pre-season and training which has delighted Robinson and given him the reason why these two will be the leaders in the team for the upcoming season.​

The board and team manager have had several meetings on where the line is drawn in relation to competitions. The board wants a playoff place although media have rumoured to have given the club a eleventh place in the league while both Robinson wants to fight in the cup competitions they are in.​
