11.2.1 patch won't update!

i got the game for xmas and i've just tried to install the latest update( i havent got any of the previous ones either) and it has come up with a number or files that need updating. it gets to around 120 and pops up with a message saying something like (x86)data/skins unable to transfer or something like that and it won't let me install the patch! tried getting it from a torrent but it just did the same!

Have you closed the game before attempting to patch?

Don't worry, you would be surprised how many people do this...

Have you tried installing it through steam? Then it should update automatically.

haha lol i have been doing this as well on all of them thought there was something wrong with the disk thank god i found this i feel like such an idiot
