should off buried that what a miss
agree there mate he needs to pick role or he will just become another wasted tallent/ utility playerWell... this is... unusual. An England team playing long-ball and boring football? Never!
Still think Rodwell needs to decide what his best position is. Versatility is useful, but when playing too many different positions over a season beings to effect your form, time to have a good think about where you'll be best. For me, Rodwell lacks the clinical edge close to goal, or the finishing/shooting to hold down a box-to-box role which is what he seems to be playing today. Gets forward too often, makes the wrong decisions, constantly losing the ball. Far more likely to get a place in the England Seniors in the long-term as a defensive player. Wilshere, Lampard, Gerrard, Henderson, Lansbury, etc. all standing in his way for the other role.
no cleverly what is pearce thinkin lansbury omg

Lansbury was terrific against Norway. Immediately set up a chance here, too.
Does England have playmaker ? No-one in midfield can pass.

suprised albrighton not been given a chance thought he would have caused problems with his runnin ah well least dont have to watch that anymoreThis is beginning to grate a little. Why not try this next match:
Fielding
Walker - Smalling - Jones - Bertrand
Lansbury - Rodwell
Albrighton - Sturridge - Sinclair
Welbeck
Put Rodwell where he is best, in a holding role in front of the defence. Stick Lansbury beside him, see what he can offer in the centre and let him make driving runs from deep. Recreate the Albrighton/Walker axis from Villa this season; two players who know each other and compliment each other very well. Play Sturridge, with his superior creative skills, BEHIND the 'purer' striker Welbeck, and add Scott Sinclair to offer a direct threat cutting in from the left.
Muamba, Rodwell interchangeable, as are Cleverley and Sinclair. Could even play Lansbury where Sturridge is and move Henderson back into the double pivot, see if he impresses this time round. Why oh why don't you do it Pearce?
Are this side trying to emulate the England team from the world cup drawing their first two games 1-1 and 0-0![]()
