2011 UEFA European Under-21 Tournament

I think Rose or Mancienne should get MoTM, they were amazing.

As I said, Rose is poor. In the team for a lucky volley 2 years ago. He's shockingly bad..

Clearly not watched him over the last 2 years for the England u21's or at all recently for Spurs? lal.

One bad game, he was brilliant last week as well. Jheeze.

Only just got back from 48 hour race, can anyone give me a good synopsis?

In ten words: Spain very good especially technically, outclassed England, two dodgy goals.

In ten words: Last gasp Welbeck equaliser spares England's blushes after Spain dominate

LOL.

Just watched the replays. How has the linesman missed Welbeck's goal being offside? He's a clear yard or two off... Not that I'm complaining. (Wish Bartley, Gibbs and Aneke were there, though <3)

Equally though, Ander's goal was a handball. Two wrongs make a right. ;)

I wondered about that. Couldn't see it properly but the Reverse angle certainly looked like hand-ball. None of the England players complained so I figured there was nothing wrong.

And yes, yes they do. Especially if it partially benefits Ingerland.

Don't mean to be pedantic but didn't Smalling and Jones play the other way around, Smalling right side and Jones left? Great 'stuff' btw

Ooh ****, probably. I just took them off the official teamsheets, but now I think back you're right. Pfft, nevermind. :P

GC, there was no "late winner" as your subtitle claims....

Surprised you opted to pick out a number of players who aren't guaranteed starters, but some good choices amongst them. Eriksson was strangely quiet in the opening game, but I think he will still have a large impact on the tournament. Dockal and Emeghara have impressed me, but I expect Yarmolenko, Pekhart and Sigurdsson to improve. Well written though mate, I hope we see more of Muniain and Wickham before the tournament ends

good report, seems Pearce had the right style, wrong personell. Want us to go far so he gets a shot at the England senior team. He needs to back himself as a contender.

I like Pearce, I think he has potential. Certainly made our U21s a force to be feared, and he seems willing to experiment tactically, as I've watched three England U21s game recently and we've played a different formation each time (4-4-2, 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1) but his favoured one seems to be a 4-2-3-1/4-4-2 cross which would suit England perfectly.
