2014 World Cup thread

Good to see Pogba, Varane and Griezmann all starting in their first taste of the World Cup.

Jonathan Pearce and Martin Keown mentioning the Honduras players were showing poor gamesmanship during the build-up to the penalty. They already showed they have no gamesmanship in the game in Miami when they were making tackles with no intention of playing the ball.

lol, love how Henry to a dig at Savage for suggesting Palacios should have been sent off for over reacting, Henry was like "pot kettle black" dig at him, classic

May have already been said, but I have to say I've been pleasantly surprised by Rio Ferdinand's punditry. Always thought he came across as a complete moron but he's had some genuinely interesting things to say IMO.

Don't see what all the fuss is about? The system said goal and it was a goal?

Imagine if technology had been introduced before WC 2010.. Lampard's goal and that.

The thing that annoys me so much is how France have such an easy group despite only qualifying through the play-offs.

Yet teams like England, Germany, Italy etc. have much harder groups despite becoming top in their respective groups for qualifying stages of World Cup. It's just not right.
