Wtf Roy Hodgson.... why the **** would you give Suarez something to spur him on just before we ****** play them..... honestly if we lose this game against Uruguay I see no reason to keep Hodgson on as England manager. Tactically questionable and if we're building a younger side with the likes of Gerrard/Lampard retiring after then we should have a manager with more modern approach.

That same modern approach we took in the last game?

Whilst we played well I still thought the tactics were poor and we let Pirlo dictate the game again. Also we were very deep for both goals which basically caused the issue of conceding.

Needed to put more pressure on their midfield and be higher up the pitch basically. Rooney on the left side was a stupid move and it was costly.... as we were penetrated there time and time again. What was done about it despite everyone seeing it? Nothing until half-time.

have you actually read the quotes? He is only stating the truth is Suarez on the same level as Ronny and messi no, and states that he has the potential to be and that he isn't on the same level as maradona and pele? Are you for real? Please take your negativity back to the Manchester United thread please. There's nothing in the quotes and it's sky giving a misleading headline for a change.

Rooney on the left yeah I agree wasn't brilliant but to be fair that's where the goal was setup from, also he started sterling who caused problems for the Italians we played to our strengths was bold we had a go yes it needs refining tactically but for the first time since under Glenn Hoddle England where good to watch, we have played one game and on the back of that an some nonsense sky article you're on about sacking a manager please think about what you are saying

I wouldn't mind Glen Hoddle again as England manager actually... quite like him and his thoughts.

Well it all depends on Uruguay game... I see no reason why we can't beat them.

Also regarding Sterling Idk why he can't play where Rooney did with Rooney in the no.10 position, would of suited them both better IMO.

It's quite obvious Italians weakness isn't the central defence... it's down the sides.

Looking forward to this one, should be a great game... Not sure who to back though at the moment

It would appear that Mr Hodgson is going to be changing things for the match on Thursday

Patrick Vieira and Lee Dixon criticising the England tactics... rightly so... Hodgson is really tactically inept it's scary for such an experienced manager.

The spaces between the lines was frightening at times, 1 pass from Pirlo often bypassed our midfield. Also in midfield we were out numbered 5 vs 2... this is the same way Italians have played for 4 years and we still didn't tackle their strengths.

Even Jamie Redknapp knew that we needed more control of the midfield to combat the Italians! Everyone can see their weaknesses apart from Hodgson... either he's stuck in his ways or is tactically inept.. I just can't decide. I think the latter, but surely for such an experienced manager it can't be that?

Lucky man Joao Pereira, for me it has to be a red card once the decision has been made to award the penalty

I thought that at first, but like Andy Townsend said, Pepe and I'm going to assume it was Bruno Alves, didn't see the shirt number, had caught up with Gotze and probably would've blocked a shot if he wasn't brought down, so for me it wasn't a clear goal scoring possibility.

Its a close one but the only reason they got anywhere near Gotze was because he was pulled and fouled, once he turned him he had a clear sight on goal

I'm glad it wasn't a red card, the rule should change, but going by the current rules i think personally it has to be a red
