2014 World Cup thread

Not sure why everyone keeps on ignoring his tons of mistakes every season. Good keeper and there are many better than him.

He hardly got games this season, was not too shocking he's rusty, don't know why Bosque started him in the first place to be honest.

However, The Spanish team were all terrible tonight, not just Casillas, he was massively exposed tonight.

Least goals conceded and most clearances in this Champions League campaign. I'm farily certain there aren't many who can pull it off.

Yeah that says how good GK is isn't it, like how Valdez always won the golden glove equivalent every season even though he made so many mistakes.

He almost lost the CL final with his blunder, luckily for him no one remember it because Madrid fought back and won it.

De Gea is a much better keeper than Casillas. Casillas has been off the boil for a few seasons now.... there is a reason why Diego Lopez has replaced him for la liga matches as no.1 in Madrid.

Well yeah, because Valdes is awesome. All goalkeepers make blunders. Its the consistent throughout the season that matters.

What did you make of the Australia-Chile match?

My heart was in my mouth as soon as Australia scored.

Tim Cahill made Medel look 4" tall all match!

Curios stat - this was first time in 83 games that Spain lost after first taking a lead. 81 out of those...they've won.

Amazing.

Group B is gonna be a very close one i think because of the win of Holland. I can see Spain, Holland and Chile both having 6 points. Probs the matches against Australia are key. If you waste points there you lose the group.

If you were trying to create Holland's tactic in FM, would which philosophy and shouts would you say they used?

My prediction for the big game tonight: England 3-1 Italy (Sturridge 17,24) (Oxlade-Chamberlain 83) - (Immobile 53) Put a bet on with all of this exactly with BET365, ?1 on and ?112,000 return hahahaha!
