2014 World Cup thread

Listening to the national anthems on the radio is just a horrifying experience-you can hear a lot more of the singing and it's just....so...........so........:'(
 
Gunna go for Colombia in this one I only saw first half of the japan game but I thought japan passed them off the park and Colombia should do the same
 
I dont get this crying during the national anthem.

Call me unpatriotic but as much as i would love to play for my country, I'd be focused on playing not balling my eyes out before the game starts

I'd be crying listening to people trying to sing the anthem and getting the words wrong-crying with laughter lol.

It's the David Luiz fake singing that makes me laugh the most - the wider you open your mouth the more you care about your country!

Probably has something to do with the fact our national anthem is boring and outdated..

It's mostly been South American teams crying more at the passion of their fans and the occasion than at the actual national anthem itself. I think that's fair enough. Having said that there seems to be some weird thing going on in Brazil games where they try to shout their anthem louder than the guy on their right.. It's incredibly disturbing to watch.

Oh, I didn't crying about the national anthem specifically just crying altogether with the occasion. But yes, our national anthem is terrible!

No problem with it, but it's just not personally something i would do. I do agree about this shouting the anthem business though
 
I hate our national anthem.... even a mention of the monarchy or the ****** queen in a national anthem should be banned.
