Totally agree mate it won't happen tho, positives for me is sterling after that I am scratching my head I don't know why he thought henderson and Gerrard was a good selection considering how porous Liverpools midfield can be.

Johnson needs to be replaced, created the goal for Rooney but his form is shocking.

Cahill had a decent game but our defense looked slow to react in both games and conceding stupid chances.

Gerrard isn't suited to a two man midfield unless you get a lot of pressing and covering from those in front.

Welbeck plays too safe, people go on about his pace yet he hardly shows it out wide. Great at recycling possession and keeping the ball moving but could do with being a little more risky.

Rooney needs to stop ******* up the easy chances he gets, he should have four or five now this world cup.

Sterling best player against Italy until he got shoved wide, shouldn't have come off today.

Sturridge, created a few things but didn't do a great deal.


Would switch to a 433 but you'd need to drop one of Rooney or Sturridge which wont happen or a diamond and have Rooney and Sturridge together which again wont happen.
 
I'm devastated, genuinely devastated.

Rooney was much improved in many aspects in my opinion and looked so much sharper BUT the key difference? Luis Suarez has two chances and nothing else all night and scores them. Rooney has two massively clear cut chances and misses

Sturridge was non-existant, Johnson was terrible up until the assist for the goal and the defending, well, i could go on for days about the defending.

Gerrard mis-times a header. But that is a regular occurance in a football game, but usually the defenders drop off deeper to stop these things from happening. Neither Cahill or Jagielka covered and left Suarez all alone, of all people ****** Luis Suarez.

Italy second goal - Balotelli header - Cahill in no mans land and loses him man, Uruguay first goal, Jagielka daydreaming in no mans land and the second goal a mixture of the pair!

Not to mention the negative, no pressure tactics we seem to play with

After all of this, we still were the better side and had we actually took our chances would have possibly won two out of two. So frustrated it's incredible!

Italy will not do us any favors. If they beat Costa Rica tomorrow they'll play the squad players against Uruguay and probably draw.

The worrying thing is we will be stuck with the 2 cbs for the Euros onless Jones and Smalling can push on under LVG. We have Clyne,Walker to replace Johnson and Shaw,Flanagan to cover/replace Baines.
 
That second goal from Suarez is ****** schoolboy.... serious what the actual ****.

Our Premier League is sacrificing our England National Team and it's about time a lot harsher rules were brought into place.

Hodgson is a nice guy but he's so ******* outdated and it's so obvious....

Oh and thanks Gerrard..... you've cost us a place in the WC and Liverpool the title... nah only joking... but it was an awful goal to concede.

We don't even have some good young hot shot to replace Gerrard with...... do we? DO WE?

Im am struggling to think of any CMs or CBs to come into this England team only Caulker,Stones,Smalling,Jones but they all have a lot to prove. And Wilshere is always injured when sneezed on.
 
They risked Suarez and we didn't risk Oxlade-Chamberlain.... what the ****.... it was a must get at least a point game.

James Ward-Prowse.... errr... can't think of anything else. Lol.
 
The only up and coming youngsters I can think of that could possibly replace Stevie G are Will Hughes and James Ward-Prowse. I'd like to see them get a game or two in the senior squad.

I would not of risked the Ox tbh! Suarez had more time to recover the Ox only had 1 training session, would not of even been 50% fit.
 
By the way... that referee was absolutely shocking.... how the **** did Diego Godin not get sent off? He made multiple fouls for the 2nd yellow but the most clear was the elbow to block off Sturridge clean through on goal..... think it was Sturridge.... so disgusting.

Good player but will need to play a lot for clubs before next Euros.
 
I will be positive about one thing, i genuinely think we have a lot of good youngsters coming through. But these youngsters will thrive on attacking, fluent, direct football and I dont think Hodgson is the man for that, and i never did.

Slight consolation is the fact we have been the better side in both games and i think the neutrals would agree, it just comes down to silly defensive errors and the taking of chances!
