Answering questions:

No, there is no way of holidaying it faster, I just use regular holidaying.

Can't you add a new manager? I just created an obscure-nationality, low-reputation manager so that it wouldn't accidentally affect the game.

You can check the records screen of the competitions, which you can find on the last tab or you can click on the club's history tab and it will show all the trophies won as well as cup runners up and third place finishes.
