3D kits question

Not sure if this is in the right place but i've never actually understand what 3D kits do, so just wondering if i downloaded some what they would change? is it the kits in the match?? probably a stupid question but i've never actually understood what they change lol

Yep, they change the in-game kits, the ones that are worn in the match engine.
