Ok, so my FM 2010 is running nice and smoothly, until match day comes around. Suddenly the whole game slows down, it takes around 5 minutes just to click straight through OI, TeamTalks etc. However it's during the match when the actual problems occur, the players movements are jerky and sudden, the match does not run smoothly. One second the ball will be in my penalty area, the next it's the opposing teams goal kick. I don't play in windowed mode, 3D match settings are on Low and I have only enabled 'Show Player names' and 'Show Stadium'

Any help will be much appreciated, thanks

It's probably your graphics card. It might not be powerful enough.

Post your computer specs. Carine may be right. The PC could be overheating too.

Turn off show stadium or try to cut down what's running in the background (there's a few free programmes which will do this for you at a click of a button - someone else might remember the name of one if you need it). Also check graphics card drivers are up to date.

Bottom line is that the 3d engine is GPU intensive and if you're at the bottom end of the range, you will not have a good time with it unless you tweak things heavily to reduce demand on system and even then you might have to accept that you'd be better off playing the game in 2d.
