4-2-3-1 for spurs?

Sorry this is my first post on a new account (can't remember old username/pass)

i mostly have a standard spurs team having only gotten 4 players (3 of them available)

this is the tactic i have made for it, not had amazing success especially in defending (concede alot)

No player instructions as i am not overly confident i want to tinker in there yet.

My question's are where am i going wrong? Is there a formation i should use over the one i am using at the moment maybe a 4-1-2-1-2 or 4-3-3 to get sturridge into the team alongside soldado?

I'm starting a game with Spurs just now and I've gone for a 4231 as I think it suits the team best. I've gone for IF's instead of wingers though. Play some games and see how you get on, this is my second attempt having seen my tactic crumble defensively last night.

yeah i restarted as well instead of sturridge and pjanic i got subotic/el sha/niang/benteke which i think will help more.

i am using two formations at the moment 4-2-3-1 and 4-2-2-2 depending on how fit my strikers are the 4-2-2-2 is with wingers and 4-2-3-1 is with IF's
