Hi i'm playing a selfmade 4-2-4 tactic, i would just like to hear your thoughts on the CM setup as i would like to get more goals out of my AMR IF att. It's as if he is only dangerous on the counter, but would like him to be more involved if possible..

right now it looks like this:
Phil: att, fluid, more expressive, roaming - short passing

GK: sweeper keeper
FBr:aut
CB: def
CB: def
FBl: sup
CMl: adv. playmaker support (roam + move into channels)
CMr: BWM def
AML: adv. playmaker attack (roam / cut inside)
AMR: Inside forward attack (PPM - cut inside so wide play: move into channels)
STl: poacher
STr:treq (run with ball often/ RFD often)
It seems like most of the build up play comes from the left side...

Would it be beneficial to change the MCr to Adv. PM and MCl to BWM def. would this help?
this would give me an playmaker on each side, im just afraid to break up the left side as its working quite well actually:)

On this game i think the more freedom you give players the less they will stick to their position and tactical instruction. When i play 4-3-3 both my inside forwards are set to support with not much freedom and they 60 goals between them every season. As for your midfield im not sure i dont like that formation to tactically dodgy for me.

Didnt really answer if changing the roles of my
Midfielders would help my Amr being set up more.. But thanks anyway..

What You want is any Combo of an Attacking and Defending mid.
Have your Attack Minded player as your playmaker and have him move into channels.

My Fave is Adv. Playmaker/Support and a Central Mid/Defend :D
