Formation name : 4-3-3 SPAIN - Liverpool FC

The formation/tactic aim is to help anyone who play FM 2011 achieve good result at the end of the season using current formation with minimizing game lost and conceded goals, especially for those who got some troubles on tactic & formation for their team. There's no guarantee if your team will always winning, but will make your team harder to beat (read more on the TEAM INSTRUCTIONS below).
Pros: (this can be achieved when you correctly set the player roles and team playing mentality)
Cons:
NOTHING so far...
unless you had fatal injury blows on all your first team squad ^^
TEAM INSTRUCTIONS (must read):
---------------------------------------------------------------
There's no really FIXED Team Instructions for the current formation since it's always changes on each match played, that would be depends on your opponents, where you play (home or away), player's fitness, etc. Somehow player's morale doesn't really effect on how he plays on the pitch, i.e player with very poor morale can still play good even improving his morale after the match.
For winning ball possessions, the easiest way is to use "whole field" closing down instructions on all your midfield players - including wingers. With this instruction your players will try to get the ball as fast as possible whenever they lose possession. But use this wisely because players with high speed+agility+technique combinations will be harder to close down.
Some key points :
One of the match played using this formation with player roles that suitable with their attributes :
Manchester United vs Liverpool at Old Trafford (0-7)
I've made some radical changes on my current Liverpool FC squad, selling lots of players like Poulsen, Jovanovic, N'Gog, Kyrgiakos, Fabio Aurelio, and some youth players just to get these awesome players: Hulk, Miguel Veloso, Leighton Baines. Also got some good free transfer players to cover the team: Vladymir Yurchenko & Juan Camilo Angulo.
League table & player stats at half season :
Other match - AS Roma vs AC Milan - home match at Olympico, final score 6-1
The reason I use "Counter" starting strategy is that on current game is that AC Milan squad is on fire, they're trailing me on 2nd position and winning 8 in a row in last 8 games, 5 of them are away matches. Now it's time to show them the host power and break their record:
This formation also tested with the following teams by me and some friends for one season on different games:
- AS ROMA (Serie A winner, Italian Cup winner, Champion Cup winner)
- Valencia (Liga BBVA winner, Spanish Cup winner, Champion Cup winner)
- Newcastle United (Premier League 3rd place, FA Cup winner, League Cup runner up)
- Tottenham Hotspur (Premier League winner, FA Cup winner, League Cup winner)
- Villareal (Liga BBVA winner, Spanish Cup winner, EURO Cup winner)
- Bayern 04 Leverkusen (German First Division winner, German Cup winner, EURO Cup runner up)
- Paris Saint-Germain (League 1 runner up, French Cup winner, EURO Cup winner)
- Newell's Old Boys (Argentine Premier Division winner, Copa Sudamericana winner)
- PERSIB Bandung (Indonesian Super League winner, Indonesian Cup winner)
Please test & feedback.. YNWA
And since there's so many requests for the tactic used against MU, here it is:

Pros: (this can be achieved when you correctly set the player roles and team playing mentality)
- Goals...Goals...Goals..... and more goals.. Minimum of 2 goals against any teams (H)
- Zero conceded... (sometimes 2 max.. rarely)
- Zero losing... that's right.. your team will rarely lose. If you're not winning, then draw it is.
- Player ratings mostly at 7.5 and 8+
- 60+ % ball possessions, lose possessions only happen sometimes, but will not dropped below 47%

Some key points :
- You must know the role of your starting line up, place them in the right positions & the right role. For example, you don't wanna put Andy Carroll as a POACHER, etc. Change the striker role based on who plays there.
- MATCH PREPARATION is essential, get at least "Competent" status on all the Tactic Familiarity Level, when you reach all "Fluid" level then you'll control the match no matter who's your opponent.
- PLAYER SWAP... This is the main key for the formation, just like on the video where I swap Hulk & Suarez. You can also swap both wingers/inside forwards when using a "Target Man" depends on how competent the player positions are. Swapping two of the three midfielder can often give you good results, especially when you had 0-0 draw at half time, experiments with the swapping, just don't forget to also adjust the player role.
- Always tick "Counter Attack"
- Never start a player with condition below 90% since with current formation he'll always running to get ball, do counter attacks really quickly on attacking transitions. Use him as a substitutions is okay.
- Rotation.. rotation... and rotations... Never play the same players all the time, use reserve & youth for team rotations. Don't force your key players too often, sub him on every 2 or 3 games, and some games as substitute if playing against lower teams or give your key players full rest.
- Praising players after the good match really have a magnificent effect for the next game he plays.
