Change them yourself then... There's a picture up there with the exact roles.

No ****?

WHat people are wondering is, that the roles might be changed in the advanced instructions.

I do realise that, but given that the roles on the screenshot are different to the actual tactic - I doubt it's a simple matter of changing the roles.

All I'm simply after is clarification... as it seems to me the tactic available for download is different to the one explained in the post itself.

Afterall - it looks brilliant... I just want to make sure I'm using the right one, as I'm sure everyone else does.

Has anyone tried it out yet?

Been testing this myself, looks good. Not sure about some of the Roles but other than that looks decent.

it would be nice if velvei appear and clarify the tactic problem , the roles dismatch . i think he missclick when upload :)

Hi guys.. thanks for all the feedbacks... and sorry for the late replies... i just saw a sad Liverpool match lost 2-1 agains WBA... grats WBA!

Anyway.. back to our business here..
I hope my explanations below can answer all.

So, some of you must be wondering why the tactic has default Team Instructions and default player roles, right..?
If anything is done properly it's this. Great looking tactic....

You're right, Henspa. Some important things must be done properly, and don't have to be perfect anyway. Here's why.. (which I already mention the overview before on the Team Instructions section above).
  • Only you as the manager/head coach of your team who really know inside out about your own team & players. So, you're in total control of your Team Instructions, not me. I'm just giving a basic modified formation with some hint on how to maxed out your players' performances and some good/better team results. If on the last 5 games your team get 2 draws and 3 losing game, then you'll might get some winning (mostly with no lost) on the next 5 games using this tactic. Try to play 5 to 10 games to see the differences. (read more below)
  • No managers/head coaches in the world using the same tactical approach on every game they played even though they're using the same formation. Did Sir Alex Ferguson use the same tactic everytime...? The answer is no. Because he, or now you as manager (and also the team coaches/staff in the real games) must consider the following things: who's your opponent, where you play (home or away), who's your first team line up, your opponent's last match, etc etc etc..
  • Forget this formation/tactic if you're expecting an easy winning tactic and let your team play like auto-pilot. No pain no gain.. The thing is, you as manager/head coach must know your player abilities and set manually the player role based on his attribute & position. For example, placing a player with good amount of creativity+passing+decisions+teamwork (always highlighted differently on the tactic screen) on central midfield and set his role as Deep Lying Playmaker. So, before you set a player role you should also check your player's attribute for that specific position, is he good as a Deep Lying Playmaker or it might be better to set him as an automatic central midfielder, that's your decision which will effect on how good he will play on the match.
  • Now how about the Team Instructions..? Check where you will play and what team you will play against... Is it home or away, and does your opponent is stronger or weaker side than you so you can decide between playing an attacking, counter, or even very defensive tactic without changing the formation. Because in my opinion and based on the games tested with current formation, as long as I have the same formation then change the Team Instructions + player roles before match, my team will try to play a good result. Even though the final result is a draw (I've played one game where the team had a bad day, lost 3 goals at half time but managed to get a 4-4 draw on second half just because I change the player roles without making any subs). It's like when in a match where your winger had a poor game with 5.8 rating, change his role to Inside forward and/or swap with the opposite position then he might played better or even creating goals.
  • About swapping players. Player swapping automatically in the game, note that if you swap a winger with another winger they'll get tired fast, except for a good winning game and they're not the target of hard tackles. Here's some reason what you can get by swapping players on this formation:
    1. Your danger man is harder to man mark
    2. To avoid poor game & bad ratings when he stick on the same position everytime, especially strikers with low agility that always easily dispossessed by opposition's defender. Once again, you must know your player's attribute here. Is he better as a winger, inside forward, advanced playmaker (if you didn't use any playmaker role in midfield), defensive winger, or you can even gamble assigning any role you like even if the player attributes' doesn't match.
  • Somehow you need to trust your assistant manager/coaches pre-match meeting, if he said to play deep on next match then you will play deep. Try save the game before match, then you dismiss & not doing what your assistant suggestions for next match and play it. Now load the game again and you do exactly what he said, then compare the end results which assistant managers always given good advices in my games :)
  • And yes, the tactic work on any team as long as you know what you're doing... read one more time all above... if you still don't get it, try to read one more time and play more than 5 games with current formation :)

Possible Team Instructions & player swapping :

LIVERPOOL - home match with attacking mentality, Target Man & two auto-swap attacking Wingers

AS ROMA - away match with counter attack mentality, Deep Lying Forward, two auto-swap between left inside forward and right winger.

Please let me know again for any other questions..
Thanks..

Btw..the new forum template looks too narrowed.. is it just me..?? Sorry if my attached pics all too big :(

Isn't that a manager's job? Manage the tactic every game to get a good result :)

Of course I can give away the last tactic use against Manchester, but I can't promise that you'll get the same result (7 goals.... maybe you'll get 8.. who knows... ^^))

anyway i disagree with u in some terms . i dont think managers change the mentality of the team every game , i mean not the big teams at least .
all the good teams play every game with one mentality , Win.
the thing u might call roles are exploiting the opposite team weakness for e.g if u are playing against a team with a sux left defender u should be able and smart enough to put ur c.ronaldo or messi on the right side and make ur team using the right flank ;)
im fan of sort 'plug n play' tactics , i think the tactic should be the same in spite of ur players can make it better or worst on their roles :)

thx for the upload (against man utd) im gonna check the swap u might have explore sucessfull :D

Couldn't agree more with you there, of course we want to win, especially with 2 or more goal difference and good ratings.
And I'm also sometimes exploited the weaker side of the opposition, but I also often let my team play mixed and tried to beat their best/strongest players in any side.

Have you finished the season with Liverpool yet? interested to know what your points total was. I had a tactic for Lpool for on the original - after buying only Hulk and Alexis Sanchez I finished with 112 points.... I tried the same tactic on 11.3 and it sucks big time lol so I'm looking for a new approach.

Nope, not with Liverpool. But me & some of my friends had finished first in one season with other clubs like AS Roma, Villareal, Valencia, etc, just like on the list above. It's not a smooth zero lose in all games, but in most of the games we managed to minimize the losses especially when playing with average mid-table clubs and lower division clubs.

using for swansea an after 10 games with my old tactic routed to the bottom of the table with these in jan up to second in the table

veivei u should try implement some kind of plug and play tactic specially using the swap position between players :D

Looks like you've put alot of work into this tactic and also into explaining it for everyone else. Might try it with my Napoli game.
