This is my first FM11 tactic I'm posting, so be gentle :D

Well it's a basic 4-4-2 with direct passing. The player roles are:

GK - defend (Key stats: Reflexes, Handling, Communication, Jumping)
DL/DR - defend (Key stats: Positioning, Tackling, Pace, Anticipation)
DCR - Limited defender - cover (Key stats: Heading, Positioning, Strengh, Pace)
DCL - Limited defender - defend (Key stats: Heading, Positioning, Jumping, Strengh)
MCR - Ball winning mc - defend (Key stats: Tackling, Positioning, Workrate, Stamina)
MCL - MC - support (Key stats: Passing, Techniqe, Dribling, Creativity, Off the ball)
ML/MR - Wingers - attack (Key stats: Crossing, Dribling, Off the ball, Pace)
STR - Target man - support (Key stats: Heading, Off the ball, Jumping, Strengh)
STL - Poacher - attack (Key stats: Finishing, Pace, Acceleration, Off the bal)

The key players of the tactic are the Target man (wins headers, flickons for the Poacher), Poacher (the main scorer who needs to be quick) and the MC (your creative player in the middle).

There's a home and away version of the tactic. It bought/bringing sucses to me in the BSP. As the lower screens show I managed to get promotion with Tamworth in the first season (media prediction 18.), took over Burton in the second season, after they been relegated.

NOTE: GIVE THE TEAM TIME TO ADDAPT(at least 10 games)

One more thing, if your favorite on a away game or if you think your team is supperior you can use the home tactic.

Tweaks:
1. If you think the Target man dowsn't get involved enough, change the crossing from float to default.

Used the away tactic for this games, because the teams were supperior to mine. Great results in my oppinion :P

The tactic looks great. I am struggling with Gillingham in league 1 and can`t wait to try out your tactic. Sorry for my bad english.:)

Yea I know, it was up yesterday before I edited the text a little, needs to get aproved, again :D sorry for that

Hello there,

Thank you very much for this tactic, I like it so far. It's great for lower league teams, nice and simple. I just have two questions

1. I've found that the high closing down setting for the road tactic drags my defensive players out of position. Do you not experience similar issues?

2. I'm just wondering what your reason is for the 'float crosses' in the home tactic?

Thanks again, great stuff.

Glad it's working for you :D About your questions.
1. Well the press more is there to make presure on the opposition and then counter them. Do you use OI's? Do FB or CB get out of position?
2. About the float crosses, as I wrote in the oppening post I changed it to default. My target man didn't get involved enough.

I use OI's on the opposing wingers. These include close down never and show to inside foot. Otherwise the wingers will just blast past my fullbacks and have an open cross.

The main problem I have is with my CBs. They'll charge at the ball carrier allowing an opponent to slip in behind for a through ball.

OK, what club are you managing? If you think the CB's are closing down to much, you can lower the closing down tab and see what happens.

Ok, here are my first findings

As you can see I've done pretty well, but there are some downsides.
Allot of times the opposing strikes dribble through the centre and aren't hassled.
Besides that there is no weak point that I have spotted.

Actually I can't see mate :D Glad it's working for you. Can you post the screen again, and a screen of your TM would be great.

OK guys after my comp crashed I lost the old cerrer save (Tamworth, Burton) :( Well I had to start over and decided to go with Luton Town in the BSP (Media prediction 1.) Well you will think how hard can it get, when you play with the best team in the league. Well as I'm only a LLM manager (don't see thrill playing with Man Unt, Arsenal, etc.) I can tell you from my experience, it can be pretty **** hard, as many of you may know.

Now down to bussines. After the 11.2 patch was applied the tactic wasn't that sucsesfull any more, so made some minnor tweaks. The formation and the roles are the same (except the LCB is chaged to normal CB).

Hope it works for you. Cheers
