i have used Man Utd as a test goat with great success averaging 78% passes 35% crosses and overal 59% possesion in almost every game.
as of yet i have not changed from control to contain or counter when playing bigger clubs or have i used any shoutouts. and still i come away with great results.

passing - shorter
creative freedom - more disciplined

focus passing - mixed
so thats the basics this style although is mixed passing gets the ball to wide wingers often who is on for cut inside and through balls creates plenty of chances up front and also get alot of corners.

DL - wing back automatic
MR - winger attack
MCR - ball winning midfielder support
MCL - box to box midfielder supprot

with this setup and the individual order i gave to defense it makes it very hard for any team to get any shots off. i have even dealt with quick counters
as for the attack the deep lying forward needs to have decent first touch and composure as most of the through balls and crosses are aim at him to setup the poacher.
