41221 ? COUNTER THE MATCH ENGINE WITH PRECISION:

Good day,
I have been playing CM and FM for 13 years now. I always downloaded tactic and played with it, then I decided last year to start creating my own tactics (taking little bits and pieces for GREAT tactics "with the consent of the creator").

And now this is what I came up with, with 14.2.1 patch:

Now the reason why I said that you will be given the Match Engine some of its own medicine is that THIS IS NOT A POSSESSION TACTICS. Playing for the deep, giving the front four the space to attack and score goals.

Formation:

Against Weaker and Normal Teams:
You should start off with the Normal Tactic and then after 70min change to the Counter Tactic.

Against Stronger Teams (Top 4 Teams):
You should start with the Counter Tactic and stick with it.

Set Pieces:
Didn't set any up, but I do score from set pieces. Just put your best player to do the set pieces.

Remove the Def Midfielder and set to Counter Tactic.

Great work andrichbrand, just started a FMC game with Everton switching between the 2 tactics. Only signing Steven Defour. So far so good.

Great results mate, thank you for testing. Lukaku is probably a beast with this tactic?

Firstly I like the goal difference!

Do you play Pienaar on the left? I realise that the wingers score just as much as the strikers.

And the sweeper keeper with support covers most of the through balls.
 
I switched between Pienaar, Mirallas and Deulofeu. Mirallas was even better than Pienaar. Won the league with 3 games to go. I can't believe more people aren't using this tactic. The best I've used on FM14. Still some strange goals and decisions due to the ME but a great tactic for anyone wanting a plug and play tactic.

Thank you for using the tactic. Alot of afford went into the tactic. It is just a matter of time before people will try it. (H)

Against Weaker and Average Team - you use the normal tactic home and away
Against Top Teams - you use the counter tactic home and away.

Just be realistic about you teams chances and if you struggle in the first half with a game with the normal tactic, switch to the counter tactic.

First game with my Middlesbrough team, second season in the Premier League. All the players except 2 player in the squad is real players.

This match was with the Counter Tactic.
 
3 injuries - i love it in this ME, so realistic.

About to start a new one with Brommapojkarna, predicted 15th out of 16 teams in Allsvenskan Swedens first division. As you mention in the OP i should stick with the conter one against the top teams. But, as my team is candidate for relegation every team should be considered as top teams (almost). So should i stick with the normal tactic as you says in the OP even if i am a bit of an underdog in most of the matches? :)

Establish the top 6 teams in the league and use the counter tactic with them. Against the other teams see where you are in the first half of the match. If you are struggling then change to counter or if you concede in the first 20min (not for a set pieces) change to counter.

I must say this works pretty well. Also I did some testing with Southampton, just because of Shaw and Clyne, which are too expensive to buy XD

As you can see, impressive. Unfortunatly I came into a losing streak near the Winter window. But losing against those clubs isn't any weird really.

I did had to change my striker (Osvaldo) to a Poacher role, as he wouldn't score without it. Now he is second, only one goal behind Van Persie in the topscoorder table (with 10 goals).
 
This tactic works wonder. Won EPL & FA Cup first season with Newcastle only buying balanta & loaning zaha. However, if i acquire better players in the second season, do u think its advisable to change the mentality to balanced? I read somewhere that the fewer the number of specialist roles in the team, the higher the fludity?
