4123 DM Wide - Fm18 MUFC Save. The journey.

So I have been playing FM16 since it came out, had a Manchester United save & a Preston save.
Usually used a 4123 dm wide formation with Man Utd having great success.
Old 1st team after like 6 seasons:

Gonna be posting updates in here of how im getting on with this new version.....

Just started a save with Manchester United.
I'll be going for pretty much the same tactics as they have worked so well before just unsure on player roles to get the best out of the formation.

Transfers so far before season starts.

Poulson £225k 17yo potential ****

Smalling £12m 27yo - Spurs.

Any suggestions on best roles to use for this tactic and team instructions?

Hoping to get this into a top formation/tactic but let's see how we go!

Just played RM in the euro super cup.
Lost 3-1
****** game though I started my new young left back and he got sent off after 44mins for a second yellow.
We conceded 2 more after that.

Roll on to the first game of the season with Southampton away!

So I managed to pick up Afonso Sousa for 6m.
Herera just got injured so I droped the 17yo Sousa into the 1st team at Southampton and he scored a screamer and got a 8.1 rating, looks to be a bargin if he keeps this up.
End result was 1-2 utd.

Wilson (45+1)

Our only goal came from Sousa again at (26)

Bournemouth away next.
Going to be going with the same formation I'm having fair success* (so far) with.... alternating Herrera & Sousa.

I managed to get kuki but missed the deadline so he joins 1/7/18
Hoping he can fill my right wing spot.

Decided to make 2 formations and try to hone both into uber effective tactics.

One will be for home games, mainly for home games but usually just easier opposition.
1st n 2nd pictures....

2nd formation is going to be for away games and more difficult opposition.
3rd n 4th pictures......

After beating Roma 4 - 0 at home I went on a bit if a winning streak. Using the 4123 formation .

A) Bournemouth 1 - 3 Manchester United prem
H) Huddersfield 3 - 1 Manchester United car'cup.
H) Burnley 3 - 1 Manchester United prem

Got the recent results wrong.

The losses was when I was tinkering with the formation.
The wins I played with the 4123 tactic.
Still perfecting which roles are best for the CM positions.

Just player Chelsea and I lost .... nightmare
I tried a new formation again in 4213 and they completely overrun me. Will be sticking to my good old 4123 and see how it gets me through.

Changed back to 4123 for the Feynoornd game and won by 3 goals so happy about that. Even with my stupid injury list. Had to play 3 under 19s

Mate... look this is superfun stories to follow when ppl take youre fav team and go on a journey and post as they go but youre resoults from post to post and withinn the pictures dotn add up... yo usay sonmething like sousa scoring a screamer vs southampton and you decided to let him get chances.. but pictures show that game was 0-0 ><
