Hi guys!

I took over management of Shrewsbury Town in league 2, got promoted straight away and then 2 seasons later won promotion to the Championship. 2 more seasons later I win the Championship and now I'm in the Prem and not doing well. Ive not won in 6 games after 7 points in my first 4 games.

I've bought in some good players and I've not conceded many goals but I can't seem to score! My strikers are pretty good... The Championship winning season, my main striker scored 26 goals for the season and I signed a striker who is 'better' statistically. I've mixed things up with tactics, trying 442 (standard and diamond) and 541. I think I'm struggling with how to play my midfield. Im stronger at centre mid as I haven't got an out and out right midfielder, I have 3 pretty good cm's.

Any tips?

I did this with Derby in my first season. Just stick at it, don't give up. Aim to just avoid relegation - nothing higher. Make counter attacking tactics, and hopefully score a few lucky goals in your matches.

You can't lose, if you don't concede. ;)

You've rapidly progressed through leagues and the Prem is quite a step up. Just play it defensive and make it your priority to just avoid relegation,

I figured so, but im quite impatient so wanted to see if there was anything i could do :D

The club is so small and poor (money wise) that it could take a while to establish myself in the Prem which is my main worry. My highest paid player is £23,000 and the average wage for my first team is just over £10,000 per week (and im over my wage budget already). It doesnt help my stadium holds just 12,500 after it had been expanded!!!

Oh well, I'll stick at it! (Any tips would be welcome though)

Thanks!

You'll just have to stick it through, if you can stay in the Prem with a shoestring budget, your club should start gaining financially through the massive TV deals, and over time you'll get a bigger and bigger stadium. Your club sounds pretty similar to Blackpool irl right now :)
