Half way through the second season and ashley Cole is retiring at 31? As this happened on anyone else's game?

Not with Cole, but I had John Terry retire after the 1st season. I believe injuries can force an early retirement, but I wasn't able to catch what the reasoning was before I had noticed he retired.

On a serious note, as mentioned, injuries play an important role in early retirement, form, player team roles (key, important etc) interaction with him asking him to think about coaching etc after retirement...

I had Giggsy play for another two full seasons from the start of Fm12, no problems!

I had received a PM from a member early this morning about the same thing, it was Drogba if I remember correctly..

Well maybe the shooting is an event in the 2012 London olympics. He is probably in the team....

I generally let players go before they retire though
