Absolutely loving the game this year i'm totally hooked once again. Currently playing save as Fulham and I'm mid way through my second season in the premier league after promotion via the play offs.

Signed some cracking players on free's - Ben Arfa, Cleverly, Micah Richards, Pereyra, Vargas, Fuchs with Kondogbia on loan and some other top young players.

The season was going really well, sat in 6th/7th for the majority of the year and scoring goals for fun. Soon as it hits January we can't hold onto to a lead and usually go behind not long after kick off. I've gone from a 10 match unbeaten run to a disastrous run of 12 games without a win, losing 7 in the process. The team just doesn't look like winning at the moment, even lost in a replay to Millwall in the FA cup and we're starting to slip down the table and currently sat in 12th place. Despite juggling 3 different tactics I've had much success with, nothing seems to be coming off.

This sort of from is a repeat from my first season where i was sat in 2nd/3rd in the Championship, yet fell out of the play off spots during a bad run after christmas. Has anyone else experienced such a dramatic dip in form? If so how did you manage to over-come it?

There are more frustrations with this years game too. 90% of goals i concede are from either corners or from cross down the right hand side. I can't seem to stop either.

Also, every single player I've had tutor someone has never been a success. Usually cancelled after a couple of months max and most of the time results in the 2 players falling out. I'm talking around 15 times here.

Any help much appreciated

You need to learn how your squad responds to certain formations. I'll give you an example: I played a Barcelona-style 451. A holding mid sitting in front of the back four, two central playmakers, two wingers and a lone striker. I was doing great like you described. Suddenly, I was faced with 442 formations in which the outside midfielders sat deep and I couldn't get the ball to my wingers who were stranded way upfield.

What I did was switch from Attacking to Counter and press high up the pitch. In other words, I got more people behind the ball then broke from there. With the wingers coming deeper, they became open to receive passes again and we resume our high possession, attacking ways.

I'm not saying emulating my strategy exactly. But analyze your opposition and find how to adjust your squad to exploit your opponents' weaknesses.
